Bernard Ferdinand Lyot (* 27 February 1897, Paris - 2 April 1952, Cairo) was a French astronomer. An undated photograph by an unknown author shows him before his death (cardiac arrest) on 2 April 1952 at the age of 55, returning from a solar eclipse expedition in Sudan.
