Anoplophora glabripennis and Anoplophora chinensis malasiaca side by side with some diagnostic characters indicated. BLUE: blueish-white hairy patches on pronotum only on A.c.malasiaca, not on A.c.chinensis and A.glabripennis (=sleek and black); YELLOW: Scutellum covered with blueish-white hair on A.c.malasiaca, not on A.c.chinensis and A.glabripennis (=black); GREEN: Base of elytra covered with tubercles on both A.chinensis ssp. but not on A.glabripennis (=sleek or locally rough at most, but not covered with tubercles).
