Beskrivning:
One week of interplanetary magnetic field and solar wind data from the MAG and SWEPAM instruments on the NASA solar wind monitor ACE (Advanced Composition Explorer).

Panels from top to bottom: 1: Magnitude (white) and northward (in an ecliptical system) component (red) of the interplanetary magnetic field, in nanotesla. 2: Magnetic field direction as seen from the sun. 0 degrees is northward (in an ecliptical sense), 270 degrees in the direction of Earth's orbital motion around the sun. 3: Solar wind number density, i.e. number of protons per cubic centimeter. 4: Solar wind radial flow speed in kilometers per second.

5: Bottom panel: Solar wind proton temperature in kelvin.
