1934 Ford Model 40A Sedan (16171675946)

Like the 1932 and 33 Ford, the 1934 car was still available as the 201 cu in 4 cylinder Model B (last year) and also the 221 cu in Flathead V8, now the Model 40A. The Model B was built from 1932 to 34, the V8 tho was the Model 18 in 1932, Model 40 in 1933 and 40A in 1934. Built on the same platform, the two models shared body, chassis and trim. The 1934 car was very similar car to 1933 but the grille was now pointed and flatter with a wider surround. Straight hood louvres rather than the curved of 1933. Again available in Standard or Deluxe and in a wide variety of body styles. The 34 Ford was not only built in the US but also in many countries including Australia. 1934 was the year the worlds first coupe utility was available, designed and built in Australia based on the Ford Model 40A. These days, the Roadster and Coupe are the most popular for building street rods making original cars quite rare.
