Good weather in South Wales this week enabled visits to Margam Yard in the late afternoon followed by the extremely picturesque Ferryside - on the River Towie south of Carmarthen. Plenty of freight running plus the usual diet of Arriva units. Ferry side level crossing and station are still controlled by a rather wonderful set of GWR lower quadrant signals from the original box adding some extra interest, but it was the fabulous evening light that really makes the colours stand out.
