Beskrivning:
The prototype Dennis Trident 3, seen here in its new life as a promotional open top bus belonging to The Sun newspaper. It's parked up on the pavement of a country road close to the border with Kent (sign right) near Hawkhurst. As indicated by the special registration plate "SUN 1", working for the paper is its full time job. Built in 1997 it was the first Trident 3 chassis produced, being fitted with Alexander's new ALX500 body but minus an interior and with an older R-Type style front with split windscreen (as the ALX one had yet to be finalised). It remained with Dennis to be put through endurance testing, after which it was sold in 2005 and converted into this form. On the far side it's fitted with a middle door only, behind the front axle. The SUN 1 plate was previously worn on ex-London Transport Metrobus M768 (KYV 768X), which was also similarly converted and painted allover red for the paper.
