March Action in 1921 in the central German industrial area. On 19 March, on the orders of the Prussian Minister of the Interior Severing and the Oberpräsident of the Prov-Sachsen Hörsing the security police occupied the workplaces and factories in the area Halle. On 21 March began a general strike was launched in the Mansfeld area. After 22 March, provoked by the police, armed fighting developed. The security police managed to liquidate the last armed workers' sections on the 3 April. Many workers were murdered and thousands imprisoned. Revolutionary workers were arrested by the police in Eisleben.
